Phil Koerner, Executive Vice President
With over 30 years working in the beverage industry, Phil has received extensive corporate training in sales and sales management and has attended a range of industry workshops. He began his career as a salesman for Jul Fischer Distributors. In his community, Phil has served on the Board of Effingham Rotary Club, was a member of the St. Anthony Memorial Hospital Advisory Board, and actively participates in a variety of civic and charitable functions.
Mike Suda, General Sales Manager- Gallo Division
Mike joined the Koerner team in March 2006. He received his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Webster University in 2004. After graduating, Mike was a budget analyst for a privately owned bank in Saint Louis, MO. After transitioning to the alcoholic beverage industry, he excelled in his sales role.
After proving his abilities for the Napa Division here at Koerner, he made the move over to the Gallo Division. It was in the Gallo Division where Mike evolved from a sales representative to a leader, assuming the Gallo District Manager position in October 2011.
Under great leadership and mentoring, Mike once again was able to prove he was ready for the next step, and in November of 2013 he was offered the Gallo Sales Manager position.
Roy Shelley, Human Resources Manager
Roy graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He has more than 10 years of leadership and management experience. Roy accepted the position as Director of Human Resources for Koerner Distributor in March of 2016. Roy serves on the Board of Directors for the Effingham County United Way and assists multiple other local charities. He lives in Effingham with his wife Jenny and son Callan.
Bernie Blanchette, Chief Operating Officer
Bernie is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a B.A. Degree in Information Systems and joined the Koerner team in 2002. He has more than 15 years of technical experience in systems administration and is responsible for the daily operations of the company. Bernie is an active member of St. Anthony Church and the Effingham Rotary Club.
Jason Hunter, General Sales Manager- Napa Division
Jason joined the Koerner team in November of 2011, bringing with him 10 years of industry experience. Jason's years of experience bring a unique management style to a growing organization. Jason has a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Communications with a minor in Public Relations from Missouri Western State University. Jason is a member of his local chamber of commerce in Herrin, IL.

Mark Jones, General Sales Manager- Beer
Mark graduated from the University of Evansville with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Economics and Finance. He has over 20 years of management experience in the wholesale beer industry. He has played an instrumental management role in multiple consolidations.
In addition to many management and selling certification courses, Mark is also a graduate of the Leadership Southern Illinois program. A proven leader throughout his career, Mark is passionate about go-to-market processes and the success and continuing growth of the Koerner Sales Team. Mark continues to demonstrate his dedication to the community by serving as a Director of organizations such as Saline Co., Industrial Development Company, and his local park board.
Jordan Koerner, General Sales Manager New Baden
Jordan joined the company in July of 2015. Following his graduation from the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business in 2009, he attended St. Louis University School of Law where he concentrated in Business Transactions law. Jordan joined the law firm Sivia Business & Legal Services following his May 2012 graduation from SLU Law. Before joining KDI in his current capacities, Jordan moved to New Hampshire to start his industry training with the E&J Gallo Winery in their Management Development Program. Following a successful stint as a sales representative, he managed a Gallo sales team in St. Louis, Missouri before finally officially joining Koerner Distributor.
Paul Koerner, President and Chief Executive Officer
After receiving his degree in Finance from Southern Illinois University and his Master's Degree in Business Administration from St. Louis University, Paul accepted a position with a bank holding company in St. Louis. With his extensive financial training, he joined Koerner Distributor, Inc. in 1990, and has managed the company on a day-to-day basis ever since.
Paul is a past President of the Associated Beer Distributors of Illinois' Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He currently represents the state of Illinois on the National Beer Wholesalers Association Board of Directors. He has been president of both the Effingham Country Club and the United Way.
He has participated in many activities in the Effingham community such as the City of Effingham Community Support Group, church related activities, St. Anthony of Padua Finance Council and the Springfield Diocese Foundation Board. He is a Board of Director of the Washington Savings Bank, Group Investment Inc., Tingley Insurance Agency and chairs the Effingham County Economic Development Foundation.
Dean Kremer, Chief Financial Officer
Dean graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and shortly thereafter earned his CPA certification. He has more than 24 years of financial experience and draws from years working in public accounting, private business and banking. Dean serves as the Treasurer for the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce and assists with other church and community events as needed.
