Our IBM AS-400 computer system in our Effingham branch gives us vital management information for the industry. VIP, one of the leading computer systems software providers in the beverage industry, provides software. The basis of our system concept is to provide reliable and dependable data processing and comprehensive sales information for analysis by our management. We are able to track essential marketing statistics by branch. Reports can be tailor-made to fit the needs of sales staff and customers in an effort to increase performance and education in our market.
Data is used by all levels of personnel in order to plan sales objectives, implement promotions and monitor results. Our managers have the ability to ask for detailed sales history by account, by salesperson, by brand, for any items or group of items they choose. Current programs can be monitored at any time to show progress towards specific goals, sales results, and non-sales activity. Each salesperson is equipped with pen-tablet technology that enables them to take orders and simultaneously transmit them to their office where they are processed and routed to the packing department for delivery. The pen-tablets also allow our sales staff in the market to easily view current and last year MTD/YTD sales by customer. Soon the technology will equip our sales staff with current inventory on hand (by item) in our warehouses prior to placing a customer's sales order.
In 2004, Koerner Distributor, Inc. further expanded its sales and customer support by adding another state of the art graphics and banner printer to our Effingham location. With this equipment located in the Carterville and Effingham locations, our point-of-sale dedicated staff is capable of producing a broad range of standard and customized commercial quality point-of-sale materials for both indoor and outdoor applications.
EDI/EFT capabilities give our customers a cost-effective way to electronically order and bill utilizing the Internet, further supporting our company's desire to blend traditional customer service and the latest technology. |
