We realize that our success would not be possible without the support of the communities we serve, just as we recognize that it’s human nature to want to help where there is a need. Each year we show our appreciation by taking an active part in a variety of civic organizations and activities. Just as our employees devote much of their time to worthwhile endeavors and community efforts, Koerner Distributor, Inc. has proudly taken an active role in a number of important community projects. Over the past years, we have been major sponsors of the United Way fund drive, the March of Dimes’ Walk America, Miller Brewing Company’s fund raiser for United Cerebral Palsy, Coors' St. Jude fundraiser, as well as Catholic Charities and universities in our market. Throughout our service territory, we provide sponsorship for numerous athletic teams including softball, basketball, volleyball and bowling. We sponsor a golf outing for the benefit of our local high school sports programs and have been the largest dollar sponsor of the two sports programs. Helping others is our way of saying "Thank You!" for supporting us.
In return, Koerner Distributor, Inc. has received recognition from local business and community organizations. The company was one of four inaugural recipients of the Eastern Illinois University "Business Ethics and Social Involvement Award", and in the past received the Greater Effingham Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s "EXCEL Award" for corporate community involvement. Carl Koerner, our beloved founder, was named Effingham Citizen of the Year in 2001. We are an award winning distributorship with a local ownership advantage. |
